Location
Located on the northern end of Vancouver Island, Port McNeill is an active oceanside community (pop. 2300) that provides a huge range of opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. The Town is a gateway to a vast network of islands and inlets throughout the Broughton Archipelago, as well as countless inland hidden gems. It is only 2 hours away from Campbell River and 4 hours from Nanaimo, so you can enjoy a rural lifestyle with access to larger urban centers just down the highway.
The Role
You’ll start with research. You’ll build up an exceptional understanding of Port McNeill in order to successfully market the Town to potential investors. You’ll dive into issues that can create barriers to attracting people and entrepreneurs to our region. You’ll create and maintain positive working relations with stakeholders from the business community, government, and the general public. From there, you will develop and implement solid marketing strategies, projects and programs that will enhance sustainability and long-term growth for the Town of Port McNeill.
